I’ve really loved Mariah’s stuff for the longest time, especially her Mass Effect art. It has a certain quality to it that’s really appealing to the eyes. It also kinda looks Disney-esque, but it’s got her own personal touch. I dig.

So, when she opened up commissions a while back, I jumped at the opportunity to see her draw two of my favorite GL characters, especially in unique styles that you don’t see them in very often, for that matter (plus at the time I wanted to color others’ art, so it was a win-win for everyone, yay!). Considering Bro’Dee’s ever-shifting costume patterning and Miri’s relative obscurity, picture-wise, she did an absolutely phenominal job. 

I also liked the yin-yang motif that she’d used in an earlier WIP she sent me. Using some vector symbols -by DHLarson on DeviantArt-, I quickly cooked up something similar. Sometimes, you don’t need a fancy fully painted BG, yanno?

In any case, this was a wonderful experience and I do heartily recommend Mariah if you’re looking for some really lovely art. =]
